Following the departure of Isaac Wood in 2022, Forever Howlong is the first studio release from Black Country, New Road.
This album brings a new sound to the band; fronted with vocals by Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery and May Kershaw. New vocals are not the only change seen, as the band transverse to bring a new baroque charm, rather than their previous art-chamber sound that they had become notoriusly known for in the Windmill scene.
They still are as experimental and cool as ever with loud crashing crescendos that make you isten in awe. They do sing less about being mediocre at sex now so I have no choice but to bump their score down as I relate significantly less now.
If I was a little German boy I'd probably say something like: Schwarz Land, Neue Straße ist wunderbar!!
